The state guild is comprised of small chapters from the state of Vermont. We meet twice a year, in May and October from 9am until 3PM, with a break for lunch. The May meeting features a special guest speaker and Auction. The October meeting features mini workshops. All meetings offer show and tell and a vendors mall. Guilds often bring their raffle quilts and sell tickets.
Membership is only $15 per year (May-May). Click here for membership form.
Alliance for American Quilts
Quilters' S.O.S. - Save Our Stories (Q.S.O.S.) creates, through recorded interviews, a broadly accessible body of information concerning quiltmaking, both present-day and in living memory, for scholarship and exhibition. This grassroots project continually captures the voices and stories of quiltmakers and posts the transcribed interviews here. Our downloadable how-to Manual has everything you need to conduct your own Q.S.O.S. interviews. Our archive for the original audio recordings and photographs is the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
Our own Nola Forbes has provided 27 interviews to date.

The Metamorphosis of an Art Quilter!
The trunk show, The Metamorphosis of an Art Quilter!, depicts Michele's growth and development as an art quilter. From humble beginnings making doll accessories, crafts, clothing and bridal fashions to today as a self proclaimed "traditional quilter run amok!" we'll travel with Michele as she revisits experiences that have shaped her life and art. Through slides and 'live' quilts the often tongue in cheek to slightly risqué anecdotes will tell the real story. Quilting, teaching, and traveling for more than 30 years has taught Michele invaluable lessons that, if she can pry them her brain, she will gladly share with us.

Remember to Bring:
Show and Tell, October, 2013, plus Photos from October Workshops
The pictures above represent just a few of the many
beautiful items our members brought to Show and Tell. I have also included a few pictures from the workshops. We will be getting more pictures in May to add to slide show. If you have any pictures from the May Show and Tell and would like to share them contact one of the officers.
The Board Challenge to our members for the May, 2013 meeting was for GMQG members was to make pillowcases for the American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine's National Quilters Care 1,000,000 Pillowcase Challenge. We received a total of 56 pillowcases. These pillowcases were donated to various statewide charities.
